The Failla Mansion is located in Upper Modica, a few metres from S. George Church and the Castle of the Counts. Both can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, as you walk along the street you will notice the steps, which are particularly characteristic of the town.

Over the years the Hotel has maintained the characteristic of a noble Sicilian building, for its interior design such as the majolicas (hand-made ceramic typical of this area), elements in wrought iron, the vault frescoes, the antique furniture and its welcoming and kind atmosphere situated in an elegant and sophisticated context.

Classic room
The room is on the second floor of the building. An exclusive environment where the parquet and the exposed wooden beams create a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

Deluxe Red Room
The most romantic. Room 102 has kept the warmth and the elegance of the dining-room. Strong red colours, almost intrusive. Antique furnishings and inlaid furniture insert so perfectly in the environment, they create a pleasant play of harmony and colours.

Deluxe Blue Room
Living-room of the house in the past, nowadays it keeps unaltered the charm of its original aspect thanks to the beautiful ceramic tiles of eighteenth-century floor, the frescoed vaults and the antique furniture. The great dimension, its colours and its lights guarantee a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Superior Room
The most intimate. This essentially furnished room is unique for its beautiful ceramic tiles from Caltagirone, surprisingly recovered and positioned. An ideal nest to relax and enjoy your intimacy.

Executive Superior Room
Small and elegant room with a wide walk-in closet, hydro-massage shower and terrace.
Thanks to its position in our annex, a few meters away from the main building, this room offers our guests a particularly quiet and private atmosphere.

It is equipped with Jacuzzi tub for two people with an enchanting starred sky, hydro-massage shower, precious mosaics and private terrace. This is one of the most exclusive rooms, highly recommended for special celebrations.

Deluxe Green Junior Suite
The most exclusive. Master bedroom, it reflects the importance and the authority of its original use. It’s the widest room, the only one with two balconies placed on two different facades of the building. Green is the colour which predominates both in the beautiful floors and in the original furnishings in Venetian style. The ceilings, delicately frescoed, frame the beautiful chandelier in liberty style. The characteristics of the environment, bright and wide, infuse guests with energy and vitality.

The restaurant La Gazza Ladra, a late barrocan styled jewel with it’s elegant and undoubtedly charming environment and 1 michelin star welcomes you. The kitchen is entrusted to Chef Accursio Craparo, a keen professional constantly comparing different and natural ingredients that the Earth offers, serving new dishes and fresh sensations to his customers - also in the typical trattoria La Locanda del Colonnello.
